Back to the next few years, my professional journey and my dating adventure. Professionally, my coaching practice thrived working with educators to uncover what limited or challenged them. It involved some group facilitation, workshops 1:1 coaching. Truly my “dream” work!

Personally, my dating adventure revved into full gear. Apps and events allowed me to meet and date several interesting men. From the early days of dating I was clear that a new partner had to be someone I wanted to come home to each day (metaphorically, since I worked from home). For 20+ years, I never met that one until late January 2024! Someone I had known (professionally) for 20+ years, had lost his spouse and was setting a new path.

Interestingly, in December 2023, as part of my year end reflection, new year planning and dream setting, I declared that I wanted a partner. A new lesson learned: Setting intentions specifically and clearly works. At the age of 74, might the “dream” come true? And the answer is, YES!

Remember be/do whatever you want, “dream” and be positive were key lessons as I grew up and have been mantras I have embraced. I have always tried to carry a positive outlook and in the 27 years of “dreaming” for a partner I was (mostly) able to hold onto that positivity. In 2020 my positivity was enhanced when I enrolled in a Positive Intelligence (PQ) coaching program. I’m eager to share the elements of PQ in future blog posts.

My intention here is to share a variety of opportunities to recognize when we go down the negative path and sacrifice ourselves to it. Tapping into our true essence, our SAGE, leads us to a happier, more stress free and more joy filled life. I’ll be sharing stories of how PQ has led to my personal transformation and how others have transformed as well as practices that you can use to boost your positive outlook.

And, as a bonus, I’ll be linking you to my special friend and colleague’s new blog Joy Savvy. Bonnie Henriksen, Life Song Professional Coaching, is also working on a blog of her own. I’m excited to share my journey with PQ which sparks joy for me and dovetails nicely with her joy. We thought it would be both fun and inspiring to write about some of the same issues and topics and invite our readers to read both blogs for broader insights from two perspectives. So, when you read what I’m thinking about and it piques your interest, click on the link to Bonnie’s blog, _____, and tap into her wisdom too.

And a bonus gift from Bonnie is access to the wonderful writings of her first coach, Kathie Allen. Kathie became a dear friend as well as a life resource to Bonnie and for many years wrote The Sunflower Chronicle to share her musings and insights. When she learned she had a version of Alzheimer’s disease called aphasia, and words started to escape her, she took down the Sunflower Chronicle blog. At her celebration of life last spring, another coaching friend, Lisa Randall, and Bonnie uncovered Kathie’s writings and, with her family’s permission, they will have a new home on Bonnie’s website for Life Song Coaching. Those articles won’t necessarily sync with the new writings of Bonnie’s and mine, but they are great insights from another wonderful coach. Feel free to check them out at www.lifesongcoaching.com.

Enough about me .. well maybe. Now that you have gotten to know a bot about me, I hope you will be curious enough about how all this came to be to subscribe to my monthly posts. As I continue to blog, you will learn how I manifested a partner, bought and sold homes and became engaged, now at 75!!! Make sure you subscribe so you don’t miss the “rest of the story”.
